Kindergarten

The Calgary Catholic School District offers kindergarten programming within a faith-based learning environment.

Young children are proven to benefit from programs that provide opportunities for organized activities and purposeful play through which they can explore the world around them. The kindergarten program focuses on seven areas of learning, including early literacy; early numeracy; citizenship and identity; environment and community awareness; personal and social responsibility; physical skills and well-being; and creative expression.

All Calgary Catholic elementary schools offer half-day kindergarten programs and depending on total kindergarten enrollment, we may offer a choice of morning or afternoon classes on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kindergarten Registration is open and ongoing at OLQP. To complete the registration process, please bring your child's Canadian birth certificate and Catholic baptismal certificates to our school office between the hours of 9:00 am & 2:00 pm. If the child has not received the sacrament of baptism one of the parent’s Catholic baptismal certificate is required.
